Planning to do a home search soon? Why not look into Virginia new homes? The state is well known for its fabulous fall foliage. If you love being surrounded by nature, you can’t do any better than this.
Virginia is known for its wide variety of oaks, which produce abundant acorns in the fall. This makes them a favorite of the local wildlife. Most oak trees maintain their green colors until September sees them turning some shade of red. As with all deciduous trees, an oak leaf’s color changes to brown as they die. Oak leaves often exhibit hues of burnished copper or rich honeyed brown. Even for a dead leaf, this still makes them pretty attractive.
If you want to enjoy the rich fall colors of Virginia, new homes are built with lots of trees nearby. You can take pleasure in the beauty and diversity of Mother Nature once you step out of your front door. The best places to see significant color changes in leaves is in the Piedmont. While you may observe some species of oak lagging behind, most of them are already approaching peak color. The Piedmont region has around 50 percent of its trees in full fall bloom, while the rest are expected to peak in early November. The Coastal Plain trees are expected to reach their full autumn palette by mid-November.
