The village of Aldie has a distinct historical district with structures dating back to before American independence. The restored Aldie Mill near Little River is a long-standing 19th-century structure that attracted early economic development to the area. Historically serving as a crucial flour mill, the structure ground grain that was shipped to Alexandria by way of the Little River Turnpike and distributed throughout the East Coast and as far away as Europe. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy the numerous charming local shops, and our new home constructions in Aldie are near a fine wine store and a range of local antique shops.
