Main Street also hosts a number of the town’s yearly events, including the Annual Chocolate Fest and Book Faire, where prizes are given out for unique cupcakes.

You could explore the city’s history and natural surroundings during your weekends in Martinsburg. The Baltimore & Ohio (B&O) Railroad is the biggest of these historic stops. Centered around the B&O Roundhouse, this district was originally used for industrial production of engines in the 1840s. It’s now open to tours and can be rented out for events with its rustic industrial setting. Historic homes Belle Boyd and Adam Stephen House are also worth a visit. For outdoor fun, take in the sunshine from any of the town’s numerous parks. Ambrose Park is perfect for a picnic or cookout, while P.O. Faulkner Park has several tennis courts and a baseball field for a bit of practice. The War Memorial Park is where you’ll find Martinsburg’s yearly June Jubilee, complete with an arts and crafts festival in addition to shows for custom cars and antiques.
