Nells Acres 55+ Villas

On March 12, 2026, I settled on my new Ryan Home at Nells Acres in Sykesville MD. The entire purchasing, building, and settlement experience was outstanding! It all began on the day I first met my sales representative, Nina Bogat Rhoades. She graciously showed me around the model home, explained all of its features, and demonstrated through her attitude and behavior the total customer orientation that Ryan Homes considers integral to their corporate fabric. When I decided to purchase, Nina answered every question that I had with considerable knowledge and patience. She carefully walked me through every element in the process and ensured that I understood each of the steps to follow as we moved into construction. It was at that point that I met Derek Ludlow, the project manager responsible for my home’s construction. Derek could not have been any more helpful and involved in assuring that my home was constructed perfectly, that it was ready on time, and that I was completely aware of its progress at every stage of the project. I was called every week, sent pictures of weekly progress, and met with Derek personally on several occasions to avoid any potential issues that might be on the horizon. Finally, there was settlement. Curtis Mackey was the settlement officer, and just like his colleagues at Nells Acres, he could not have been more efficient or effective. I had several questions along the way, and he answered every one of them with considerable grace and expertise. He made certain that I was completely prepared for settlement and made the process amazingly easy. It was completed in minutes with minimal papers to execute. The bottom line is that because of the efforts of Nina, Derek, and Curtis, I was comfortable with the entire home purchasing and building processes and truly optimistic that when all was said and done, I had made the right decision and would live happily in my lovely, new Ryan home.
