Newport News is an independent city in the southeastern part of the Virginia Peninsula along the shore of the James River. The area has a long history and was one of the eight original shires of the British colony of Virginia in 1634. Our new homes in Newport News, Virginia, are near both the Huntington Ingalls Shipbuilding and the US Air Force-Army installation at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in addition to a range of other military facilities. The city also has a vibrant boating industry, and our new constructions in Newport News rest near miles of waterfront territory. Newport News serves as a junction between railway lines and the sea, and is served by the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport.

New Homes Near Newport News' Urban Development

The downtown area along the James River waterfront has gradually transformed from a farming town to a bustling city. The expanding North End area, contains an eclectic mix of new and old architectural styles and provides scenic views of the river. The Port Warwick area has undergone a special campaign of redevelopment, and the neighborhood now offers a range of fresh housing, restaurants and upscale shopping, and City Center at Oyster Point near Port Warwick has become a hub for both families and young professionals.
